I am thrilled to create a pastel of loved ones, you, or your furry friend!  Send a copy of your favorite photo along with several others of the same subject if possible.  Although I will use your favorite, other photos will be helpful in providing additional details and visual information to help me create a true portrait.

All portraits are done in pastel.  Portraits may be head and shoulders or full body.  Please note, however, that for the best detail and quality, a full body portrait is best done in the largest size (18" x 24").

Before choosing and sending a photo, please consider:

The photographs I receive and use as references are a significant part of the painting and drawing process.  The quality of the completed portrait depends on the quality of the photos you send me.  Therefore, it is important to provide me with the highest quality, largest sized photos possible.  Make sure they are sharp and clear with accurate colors.  Photos in which the subject fills the entire frame, without cropping parts you want included, are best.  Whenever it's possible, choose a photo taken with natural lighting either outside, or indoors where the light comes from a window.  Finally, provide a photo that includes your favorite background scenery if possible.
